Surgery Day

We showed up at the hospital at 6:30 am. We were first in line that morning (they do several ear tube cases in a row). Jacob looked like such a big boy in his little hospital gown. It had cute little tigers on it. They let us walk him down to the OR. The nurse went to take him from me and he had a death grip on my arm. She finally pulled him away and he started to cry. She walked through the door and the last thing we saw was him reaching out for us crying. Very difficult for mom and dad as you can imagine. About 30 minutes later, they came and told us that he did great and they were just waiting for him to wake up. Within a few minutes, we saw a little hospital crib come wheeling around the corner. He was sitting up looking around. Now when he finally saw me he started whining and crying a little bit because he was anxious to get to me. Overall he did great. We took him home and he slept a lot of the day. The next morning he got up and went to daycare like nothing had ever happened. No more ear infections since. The pictures are blurry because we took them with my phone, but you get the idea.
