I have been struggling with weight for the last 2 to 3 years. Granted I had a kid, but still. The biggest problem I have is my job. I have always been so active all my life. Even if it wasn't running or lifting weights, bartending at Hank's was work out enough. Running around behind the bar, sweating, lifting cases of beer, and not having time to snack... all contributed to me staying in a size 4. Now I'm fluctuating somewhere between an 8 and a 10. Depends on the day. I sit at a desk ALL DAY LONG. By the time I get off, I just want to spend time with my kid. After he goes to bed, it's time to get ready for the next day. So I ordered the P90X workout system and it should be here next week. I've heard really good things about it and am hoping I can stick with it. AND I bought a jogging stroller so Jacob and I can go for an evening jog.
For the most part, I have already changed a lot of my bad eating habits like snacking, but I just found out the truth about it all. Almost every day for lunch, I go to Arby's and get one of their market street sandwiches and a water. I leave thinking I am doing so great. Really. How bad can a sandwich be for you? Come to find out, I was bored the other night and just browsing the internet. I started looking up fast food nutritional information. The Roast Turkey Bacon and Ranch Sandwich from Arby's has 810 calories. Seriously???? Took my breath away. I wondered how I could cut out so many calories by snacking, cokes... and still gain weight the last month. Well, there lies the answer. Those damn sandwiches. Arby's what are you thinking? They are definitely good though. So I've completely changed my selections on the fast food menus...
